Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Intern to support our Tyler, TX Transportation team.

The internship will involve assisting with civil design, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for TxDOT, city, and county roadway projects, and CAD work under guidance of a Professional Engineer. Learnings include design calculations, regulatory documentation, and coordination with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent.
• Great communication skills.
• Solid relationship and team-building skills.
• Self-motivated with strong organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Transportation projects.
• Assist with drafting CAD work.
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects.
• Assist in preparation of permit applications and regulatory documents.
• Coordinate with team members, surveyors, architects, and contractors.
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
