Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Structural Intern for our Fort Worth, TX office. The Civil Engineering Intern will assist in Transportation design including TxDOT and local roadway projects, and help prepare plans, specs, and cost estimates.

The internship runs June 7, 2027 through August 13, 2027. Interns are paid hourly and work full-time (40 hours/week), typically 8a-5p, Monday through Friday. Halff does not provide housing for internships.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering or ABET-accredited equivalent.
• Strong communication skills.
• Solid relationship-building and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated with good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under supervision of a Professional Engineer.
• Assist in preparation of plans, specs, and cost estimates for Transportation projects.
• Assist with drafting CAD work.
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects.
• Assist in preparation of permit applications and regulatory documents.
• Coordinate with team members, surveyors, architects, and contractors.
• Attend client and regulatory meetings.
