Job summary

Felsburg Holt & Ullevig is seeking a mid-level transportation design engineer for our Greenwood Village Office to work on a variety of multimodal projects. The role emphasizes use of Civil3D and coordinated design with other disciplines.

The position requires 5–10 years of transportation experience and a Colorado PE license (or willingness to obtain within six months). You will mentor junior engineers and help deliver roadway design plans on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college is required.
• 5 to 10 years of transportation engineering experience including roadway, highway, interchange, trail and/or transit design.
• Professional Engineer license in Colorado or willing to obtain CO PE within six months of start date.
• Modeling, design, and plan production experience with Civil3D and/or MicroStation/InRoads/OpenRoads.
• Ability to multi-task several projects at once while staying on budget and on schedule.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and business correspondence with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop trail/roadway/intersection/interchange design criteria using applicable standards.
• Complete conceptual design layouts for trails, roadways, highways, and interchanges.
• Develop conceptual design graphics and exhibits for planning documentation.
• Coordinate roadway design with other design disciplines and environmental considerations.
• Lead roadway design and oversee junior engineers in plan production and documentation.
