Job summary

Felsburg Holt & Ullevig is seeking a mid-level transportation design engineer for our Greenwood Village Mountain West Civil Group. The role focuses on transportation design, plan production, and coordinating with project managers across multimodal corridor projects.

The candidate will use Civil3D and MicroStation/InRoads/OpenRoads, mentor junior staff, and support environments with strict schedules. Colorado PE license is required or must be obtained within six months of start date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college is required.
• 10+ years of transportation engineering experience including roadway, highway, interchange, trail or transit design.
• Colorado PE license or must obtain CO PE within six months of start.
• Experience with Civil3D and/or MicroStation/InRoads/OpenRoads.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stay on schedule.
• Proficient in technical reports and business communication with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop design criteria for trails, roadways, intersections, and interchanges.
• Create conceptual layouts for horizontal/vertical design.
• Produce design graphics for planning documents.
• Coordinate with environmental and other disciplines; manage junior engineers.
• Lead roadway design efforts and oversee contract document production.
• Prepare program provisions and specification packages as needed.
