Job summary

Felsburg Holt & Ullevig in Greenwood Village, CO seeks a mid-level Transportation Design Engineer for our Mountain West Civil Group. You will design roadways, interchanges, trails, and multimodal corridors, using Civil3D and MicroStation, and mentor junior staff.

You will lead design efforts, coordinate with other disciplines, and contribute to construction documentation while managing multiple projects to stay on schedule and within budget. CO PE license or progress toward license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college is required.
• 10+ years of transportation engineering experience including roadway, highway, trail and/or transit design.
• Colorado PE license or ability to obtain within six months after start date.
• Experience with Civil3D and/or MicroStation/InRoads/Open Roads for design and modeling.
• Ability to multi-task several projects while staying on budget and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop design criteria for trails, roadways, intersections, and interchanges.
• Complete conceptual design layouts with horizontal and vertical design considerations.
• Develop conceptual design graphics and exhibits for planning documentation.
• Provide input for environmental study limits and effects assessments.
• Oversee roadway design production and coordination with other disciplines.
• Lead junior engineers in producing roadway construction documents.
