Job summary

Texas Department of Transportation’s Dallas District Headquarters is seeking a Design Engineer to join the Dallas County design team as a project manager. You’ll design, manage, and coordinate plan designs for construction projects involving highways, bridges, and transportation infrastructure in Dallas County.

You will oversee entire projects from scoping and design to letting and bidding. This role requires coordinating with Dallas District design groups and working closely with the Area

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science.
Engineering experience in transportation projects (TE I/II/III) including design, PS&E, and plan development.
Licenses: Valid driver’s license and Professional Engineer (PE) certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

Design, manage, and coordinate highway design projects from scoping through letting and bidding.
Coordinate actions with Dallas District design groups to complete construction plans.
Oversee projects and ensure compliance with federal and state standards.
