Job summary

Texas Department of Transportation in Fort Worth seeks a Transportation Engineer III or IV to leverage design experience in managing consultant teams and building strong partnerships with stakeholders. You will help deliver critical transportation projects that impact communities across the region.

The role requires strong project management, compliance with federal/state laws, and the ability to coordinate with agencies and private entities. A PE license and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 6 years engineering or transportation engineering experience; graduate study may substitute.
• Valid driver's license and Professional Engineer licensure per Texas requirements.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes project management principles to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close complex projects.
• Monitors consultants' progress and work quality; checks invoices and related documents; prepares supplemental agreements.
• Reviews, processes, and certifies PS&E submissions and project design plans.
• Performs other duties as assigned and supports project objectives.
