Job summary

Horrocks is hiring a Design-Build Structures Lead/Manager for the Innovative Pursuits Team in Seattle. You will guide transportation structure design across freeways, interchanges, and shared-use facilities, leading a multi-disciplinary group to deliver innovative, value-driven solutions.

You will oversee design, analysis, reports, and drawings, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction while growing technical and leadership capabilities within the team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in transportation structures design.
• 5+ years of leading structural design teams for infrastructure projects.
• 3+ years of DOT DB or PDB experience.
• Must be able to lead and collaborate with client teams and manage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural discipline engineering teams for Transportation projects (freeways, interchanges, highways).
• Coordinate with other discipline leads to ensure integrated design.
• Act as integral member of project management and delivery team.
• Lead structural design, analysis, reports, plans, and specifications.
• Utilize standard bridge design software to develop solutions.
• Maintain positive relationships with team members and clients.
• Be willing to work on local and Rocky Mountain Region projects.
• Communicate clearly with clients, staff, and management.
• Meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality designs.
• Grow professionally by collaborating on diverse projects.
