Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Data Steward to define how data is defined, shared, and reused across the Transportation Business Group. Embedded in the BG, this leadership role shapes data practices, coordinates SMEs and authorities, and enables better business decisions and project delivery.

This is an enablement-focused, non-IT role that partners with technology leadership to align data workflows and drive adoption of standards across HDR. Office-based in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline.
• Ten years of strategic leadership experience focused on teams and change management.
• Ability to work cooperatively with leaders and managers across functions.

Responsibilities

• Establish and coordinate a network of SME expertise to define technical standards.
• Develop and maintain business-aligned data definitions for key terms.
• Use your network to build alignment around data processes and usage.
• Promote consistent, responsible use of technical data and reuse.
• Support governance of externally sourced datasets and lifecycle considerations.
• Promote data fluency across the Transportation Business Group.
• Coordinate with the Technology Director to align data workflows.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards and tools.
• Regularly communicate with other Data Stewards and Enterprise teams.
• Ensure new tools align to the data strategy.
