Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Data Steward to define how data is captured, defined, and reused across the Transportation Business Group. This leadership role coordinates SME expertise to establish data standards and enable consistent data practices across projects and regions.

The position embeds within the Transportation BG, focusing on enablement, collaboration, and driving data-driven decision making for HDR's transportation initiatives. In-office in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in architecture, engineering, data science, business, or computer science, or related field.
• Ten years of strategic leadership experience focused on growing, developing and leading teams in change management and working with data.
• Fifteen years of experience delivering diverse data-centric solutions and services to an organization and industry.

Responsibilities

• Establish and coordinate a network of SME expertise across the Transportation BG to define technical standards and align with enterprise expectations.
• Develop and maintain business-aligned data definitions for key terms supporting models, reporting, automation, and AI use cases.
• Use your network to build alignment around data processes, priority, and expected use.
• Promote responsible use of data, including access, data quality, format, and reuse.
• Support governance of externally sourced datasets (access, approvals, inventory awareness, storage, lifecycle).
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards, practices, and tools across the Transportation BG.
