Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation Data Steward to lead how data is defined, shared, and used across the Transportation Business Group. This embedded leadership role focuses on enabling data reuse, improving project delivery, and aligning with HDR's enterprise data strategy.

Ideal candidates are seasoned leaders who can coordinate SMEs, drive adoption of standards, and influence data practices across multiple disciplines and time horizons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline or equivalent related experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Resources engineering industry.
• Experience in development and management of diverse teams.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers.
• Committed to HDR values.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead data governance across Transportation Business Group to standardize data definitions and usage.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and technical authorities to establish data practices.
• Promote data fluency and adherence to enterprise data strategy across projects.
• Lead change management for adoption of data standards, practices, and tools across the Transportation BG.
• Support governance of externally sourced datasets and lifecycle considerations.
• Coordinate with leaders to align data workflows with Transportation BG strategy.
• Communicate with Enterprise Data Science Teams and Data Operations staff regularly.
• Ensure new tools align to data strategy and enable scalable analytics.
