Job summary

HDR seeks a Transportation Data Steward to shape how data is defined, shared, and used across the Transportation Business Group. This leadership role coordinates SMEs and technical authorities to enable consistent data practices that improve project delivery and decision making.

The role emphasizes enablement over IT, focusing on defining and enforcing data standards, governance, and reuse across HDR’s transportation projects and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline or equivalent related experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Resources engineering industry.
• Experience leading diverse teams and driving change across organizations.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other leaders, operations managers, and technical directors.
• Committed to quality, HDR values and employee ownership culture.
• Active participant in our employee-owned culture and governance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define data standards and governance across HDR's Transportation Business Group.
• Coordinate SME expertise and align data practices with enterprise expectations.
• Develop business-aligned data definitions to support models, reporting, automation, and AI use cases.
• Promote data fluency and responsible data reuse across teams.
• Lead change management efforts to drive adoption of data standards and tools.
