Job summary

MBP is seeking an on-site compliance inspector to support transportation construction projects. This role focuses on inspection, quality assurance, and progress monitoring to ensure adherence to plans and standards.

The candidate will document work, verify materials, and assist with payments and final inspections. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, OSHA certifications, and relevant construction training.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction for transportation projects, including inspection of widening, signals, bridges, utilities, and related work.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record; must pass background checks and reference verifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site compliance inspection, QA, and progress monitoring to ensure conformance to plans, specs, and codes.
• Maintain project records with daily diaries; perform basic algebraic/geometry/trigonometry calculations and sketches.
• Check materials and testing documents; arrange additional samples for verification as needed.
• Assist with review of payments, final inspections, and punch list creation.
• Communicate professionally with client, contractors, travelers, owners, and MBP team members.
• Ensure highway work zones and traffic control comply with current standards.
• Perform basic to moderate field duties including materials testing and basic surveying.
• Handle administrative duties such as daily timesheets and expense reports.
