Job summary

MBP is seeking a field inspector to serve as a key representative, performing QA observations and recommending actions aligned with project specs. You will communicate with contractors, clients, and team members while executing oversight, recordkeeping, and compliance verification.

Responsibilities include inspecting construction activities, reviewing red-line as-built plans, preparing payments and RFIs, and guiding junior staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with substantial construction/engineering experience.
• OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Working knowledge of basic mathematics applied to field measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site field compliance inspections and monitor progress for conformance to specifications and codes.
• Conduct field checks of red-line as-built plans to confirm completeness.
• Develop payment applications and track submittals and RFIs.
• Advise contractors regarding discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform materials testing and basic surveying to verify line, grade, and dimensions.
• Document construction activities in diaries, inspection reports, and photo logs with calculations.
