Transportation Construction Inspector

Currently ranked #50 on Engineering News-Record's Top 500 Design Firms, we are seeking inspectors for our Pittsburgh Construction Management Team to support PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike projects.

Position Details:

• Location: Greensburg, PA
• Type: Full-Time/Regular
• Note: This position is not eligible for employer sponsorship, except for TN visa classification.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1. Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications, and construction methods to ensure compliance with legal and safety regulations.
2. Perform routine tests on concrete, soils, and other materials.
3. Measure dimensions and verify levels, alignments, and elevations of structures, fixtures, grades, and pavements.
4. Maintain record documents and make field notes and computations.

Required Skills and Experience

• Client-requested certifications.
• Strong computer proficiency.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation; successful completion of JMT's Motor Vehicle screening.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 1-4 years of construction inspection experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Additional client-requested certifications.

Working Conditions
