Position:

Construction Management/Construction Inspection for the Full 2025 Construction Season

Job Overview:

Ongoing screening for multiple Construction Inspector positions in PennDOT Districts 11 & 12 (Allegheny, Washington, & Westmoreland Counties) for the 2025 construction season. Immediate applications are encouraged. Only qualified candidates will be considered.

Company Description:

CDR Maguire Inc., a national multi-disciplinary engineering firm, seeks Transportation Construction Inspectors for projects in the specified counties within PennDOT Districts 11 & 12. The TCI will consult on plans, specifications, materials, equipment, and safety practices, and prepare reports, maintain schedules, and verify compliance.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure contractor compliance with contract documents and safety plans
2. Verify materials conform to specifications
3. Check contractor's layout and accuracy
4. Prepare daily reports and maintain progress records
5. Communicate effectively in oral and written forms
6. Utilize computers and office equipment
7. Perform physical activities including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions
8. Wear PPE and react to hazards appropriately

Additional Duties:

1. Travel within PennDOT District 12 as required
2. Maintain a positive attitude and professional conduct
3. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or higher; ability to read, write, and perform basic math
• Two years of related construction experience preferred; recent graduates encouraged to apply
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Certifications:

• BS in Civil Engineering
• NICET Level 2 or higher
• NECEPT Bituminous certification
• ACI/PennDOT Concrete technician certification
• PennDOT/PTC CDS certification
• ECMS experience
• OSHA 10-Hour
