Ongoing screening will be conducted for staffing multiple Construction Inspector positions for upcoming projects in PennDOT Districts 11 & 12 (Allegheny, Washington, & Westmoreland Counties) for the 2025 construction season.

CDR Maguire Inc., a national multi-disciplinary engineering firm, is seeking Transportation Construction Inspectors for projects in Allegheny, Washington, and Westmoreland counties within PennDOT Districts 11 & 12.
The Transportation Construction Inspector (TCI) is responsible for consulting with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders regarding plans, specifications, materials, equipment, and safety practices involved in construction and installation work. The TCI prepares daily progress reports, maintains progress schedules, checks shop drawings and quotations, keeps records of materials and costs, and prepares payment claims.
High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education, with the ability to read, write, and perform basic math. Two years of transportation, highway, or bridge construction experience is preferred, but recent engineering graduates are encouraged to apply. A valid driver’s license is required.
Preferred certifications include BS in Civil Engineering, NICET Level 2 or higher, NECEPT Bituminous certification, ACI/PennDOT Concrete technician, PennDOT/PTC CDS, ECMS experience, and OSHA 10-Hour certification.
