CDR Maguire Inc., a national multi-disciplinary engineering firm, is seeking Transportation Construction Inspectors for projects in District 12 for the upcoming season in 2025.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure compliance with the contract documents by the contractor
• Consult with contractors, consultants, engineers, job superintendents, and others on plans, specifications, materials, equipment, methods, practices, and safety precautions involved in construction and installation of the work
• Prepare daily progress reports and maintain progress schedules
• Check shop drawings and contractors' quotations for variations
• Maintain records of quantities and costs of materials used
• Prepare contractors' periodic progress payment claims and recommend payments

OTHER PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• Travel as required related to duties or as directed by supervisor
• Maintain a positive attitude to foster competence and pride in the company
• Perform other duties as required, commensurate with the position

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Effective reading, writing, communication in English, and basic math skills
• Minimum of one (1) year PennDOT experience or two (2) years transportation, highway, or bridge construction inspection experience
• Four (4) years of highway or bridge construction, non-inspection, or design experience; non-inspection personnel can substitute with completion of twelve (12) web-based TCI training modules
• Civil Engineering or Construction degree can substitute experience
• Bachelor's degree in a non-Civil Engineering field with completion of TCI modules can substitute experience

Preferred Certifications:

• NICET Level 2 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction
• NECEPT Bituminous field certification
• ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician certification
• PennDOT/PTC CDS certification
• ECMS experience
• OSHA 10-Hour certification
