Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Freight Brokerage or customer service
• College degree highly desired or equivalent experience
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player who excels in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic
• Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills, and ability to handle conflict
• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to quickly process information and make decisions under pressure

Responsibilities

• Acquire new customers and drive profitable volume through relationships with shippers
• Build relationships with carriers to increase capacity for projects and lanes
• Negotiate rates and offer solutions based on market knowledge
• Perform daily check calls on loads in transit and ensure documentation for freight bills
