Job summary

Amazon is seeking Transportation Area Managers to support operations in Portland, OR. You will oversee a team of Transportation Associates, focus on safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and partner with site leadership to improve performance.

You will lead process improvements using Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma concepts, manage schedules including weekends and nights, and coach your hourly workforce to meet customer expectations worldwide.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with site leadership on quality and Customer Experience metrics.
• Streamline logistics with standard work and team leadership.
• Support safety programs and OSHA compliance for a safe work environment.
• Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools.
