Amazon is seeking Transportation Area Managers to support and optimize operations across the country from Kentucky. You will lead a team of transportation associates, drive safety and quality metrics, and implement Lean improvements to enhance customer delivery performance.

The role requires strong leadership, experience with performance metrics, and the ability to manage multiple shift schedules while ensuring compliance with safety programs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
• Experience managing teams of 20+ people.
• Experience with process improvements (Lean Six Sigma and/or Kaizen).
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills; analytical, attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience in shipping/logistics distribution centers, manufacturing environments, hospitality, healthcare, retail, and customer-service environments.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with site leadership on quality and Customer Experience metrics, including root cause analysis of problem areas.
• Streamline logistics in the operation through the implementation of standard work and team leadership.
• Support and commit to all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
• Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
