Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Analyst to manage Transportation Management processes, drive continuous cost and service improvements, and interface with customers and carriers.

The role focuses on data analysis, reporting, and implementing improvements to meet customer requirements. You will work with internal SMEs and account teams to resolve issues, prepare performance reports, and support quarterly and monthly reviews.

Qualifications

• College degree/Technical Certification in Business, Logistics, Transportation; combination of other education and experiences considered.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation preferred.
• 2+ years in industry related experience required.
• 2+ years in experience in freight flow and Transportation Management.
• Must be computer literate and able to use MS Office Suite; internet for work matters.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage KPIs and perform root cause analysis using TM systems.
• Provide support for data processing, reporting, and customer inquiries.
• Interact with clients to resolve problems and coordinate implementations.
• Cohesively work with internal SMEs to resolve problems and support implementations.
• Prepare weekly/monthly customer metrics and performance reports.
• Update SCLM and SCMP; develop reports as needed.
• Initiate continuous process improvements and monitor results.
• Measure transportation network cost and service performance; analyze and develop improvements.
• Coordinate TM procurement activities to optimize cost/service.
• Prepare materials for client quarterly and monthly reviews.
• Evaluate and present opportunities for continuous improvement at accounts.
