Job summary

HDR, Inc. in the United States seeks an experienced Alternative Delivery Director to lead major transportation projects within the Transportation Business Group.

You will drive pursuit, be the principal in charge on selected projects, and coordinate with legal, risk, and clients to advance complex design-build and P3 initiatives. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, develop client relationships, and champion HDR’s employee-owned collaborative culture while traveling up to 50% to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional Engineer license (PE) required.
• Experience leading large transportation infrastructure projects and teams.
• Understanding of HDR operations and the matrix structure.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of time.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director for pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive the Alternative Delivery project approvals in compliance with HDR policies.
• Collaborate with HDR Business Groups on policy, staff resources, and contract terms.
• Work with HDR Legal to negotiate contract terms for AD projects.
• Coordinate with Transportation Leadership on client discussions and contractor relationships.
• Foster HDR matrix collaboration across Areas, Regions, and Market Sectors.
• Advise HDR leadership on commercial and technical trends in the AD industry.
• Engage with HDR stakeholders to maximize strengths of the HDR matrix.
• Travel as required and support AD project approvals and execution.
