Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Transport Network Engineer to support the DISA-PAC Ford Island, Hawaii site with sustainment, maintenance, and change management to ensure secure and reliable DISN services for DoD customers.

The role requires DoD 8750 IAT II certification, a BS degree with 4–8 years of experience (or MS with 2–6 years), and an active Secret clearance. Experience with CIENA, Cisco, DWDM/SONET is preferred.

Qualifications

DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE or equivalent.
BS degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
Active Secret security clearance.
Proficient in one or more Transport platforms (CIENA/Cisco) and related equipment.
Experience with DWDM/SONET technologies and end-to-end transport troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Network design and engineering for transport systems and upgrades.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform incident management escalation support.
Update tickets and provide situational awareness to stakeholders.
Coordinate with vendors and Government customers for problem resolution and maintenance activities.
