Job summary

Leidos seeks a Transport Network Engineer to sustain and secure DoD DISN networks at Scott AFB. You will design, implement, and refresh transport architectures across CIENA and Cisco platforms, while performing fault isolation and escalation with government customers and vendors.

Requires active Secret clearance and DoD 8750 IAT II equivalent. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-team collaboration are essential for delivering reliable mission networks.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• DoD 8750 IAT II or equivalent certification.
• Experience with Transport platforms: CIENA, Cisco.
• Experience with optical networks fault isolation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer transport networks; implement hardware and software refreshes.
• Deploy network changes and monitor traffic impact; optimize configurations.
• Perform fault isolation, RCA, and escalation with vendors and DoD customers.
• Update incidents in ServiceNow; document MSS database accurately.
• Coordinate maintenance windows and technician dispatch for ASI.
