Responsibilities

• Verify financial eligibility and insurance benefits for transplant patients.
• Obtain pre-authorizations and coordinate transplant-related approvals.
• Counsel patients and families on estimated costs of services.
• Coordinate referrals from PCPs and monitor admissions.
• Assist with billing, claims and communication with insurers.

Position Overview

Provides a direct link between the patients, hospitals, primary care physicians and insurance providers. Determines financial eligibility, verifies insurance and benefits, provides counseling, resources and education, coordinates referrals from PCP's and monitors admissions. Serves as a resource for patients, families and physician office staff for bills, claims and estimated cost of services.
