Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Siting and Permitting Project Manager to support energy projects across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. The role combines technical siting and permitting work with leadership of multidisciplinary teams and active client engagement.

You will guide routing studies, environmental permitting, and public involvement programs while mentoring junior staff and contributing to proposals and pricing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental fields or related discipline required.
• 10+ years of experience managing environmental permitting and planning for energy infrastructure.
• Ability to lead project teams and work independently.
• Strong leadership and communication with clients and agencies.
• Experience preparing proposals, presentations, and pricing structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; define client requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for complex data.
• Commitment to workplace safety and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for siting and environmental permitting of energy projects.
• Manage routing and siting studies, analyses, and reports.
• Provide oversight for environmental permitting across project phases.
• Develop public involvement strategies, including hearings.
• Mentor junior staff and support their growth.
• Support business development and proposal preparation.
