Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Lead Transmission Siting and Permitting Project Manager to work on energy infrastructure across PA, NJ, or MD. The role blends technical routing and environmental permitting with project management and mentorship for a growing portfolio.

The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, support client relationships and proposals, and guide junior staff through complex regulatory work across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in environmental studies, biology, or related field; 10+ years’ experience in environmental permitting for energy infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and work independently.
• Strong communication skills with clients, agencies, and colleagues at all levels.
• Experience preparing proposals, presentations, and project pricing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to define and manage client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead or task leader on siting, permitting, and routing studies for energy projects.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams across complex regulatory work.
• Provide technical oversight for permitting activities across project phases.
• Develop public involvement strategies including open houses and hearings.
• Support business development, client relationships, and proposal activities.
