Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lead Transmission Siting and Permitting Project Manager to support electric transmission, substation, and renewable energy projects across PA, NJ, or MD. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage routing and environmental permitting, and provide technical oversight while mentoring staff.

The role emphasizes project leadership, client interaction, and collaboration with an experienced Earth & Environment team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies or related field.
• 10+ years of experience managing environmental permitting and planning projects for energy‑related infrastructure.
• Experience leading project teams and providing leadership.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with clients, agencies, and colleagues.
• Experience preparing proposals, presentations, and project pricing structures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as siting and permitting SME for electric transmission, substations, and renewable energy projects.
• Manage routing and siting studies, analyses and technical reports.
• Provide oversight for environmental permitting across project phases.
• Develop public involvement strategies including open houses and hearings.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and mentor staff.
• Support business development, client relationships, proposals, and pricing.
