Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Siting and Permitting Project Manager for our offices in PA, NJ, or MD to support a growing portfolio of electric transmission, substation, and renewable energy projects. The role blends hands-on routing and environmental permitting with project management leadership and cross‑disciplinary coordination.

The successful candidate will lead complex projects, mentor staff, interact with clients and agencies, and help advance WSP’s transmission siting practice across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, biology, natural sciences or ecology, environmental planning or related field
• 10+ years of experience managing environmental permitting and planning projects for energy infrastructure
• Ability to lead project teams and interact with clients, agencies, and colleagues at all levels
• Experience with proposals, presentations, and project pricing

Responsibilities

• Serve as a siting and environmental permitting subject matter expert for energy projects
• Manage routing and siting studies and corresponding technical reports
• Provide oversight for environmental permitting across project phases
• Develop public involvement strategies including open houses and hearings
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development and proposals
• Ensure quality, budgets, schedules, and compliance with WSP policies
