Job summary

HDR, Inc. is actively seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer in Fargo, ND to lead technical execution of high voltage transmission line projects from 69kV to 500kV, on schedule and within budget.

You will coordinate with the Project Manager and teams across locations to ensure quality and timely delivery. The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and a PE license, with experience in power transmission, PLS-CADD and related design software.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required or recognized by licensing board.
Experience in Power Market Sector project execution is preferred.
Proficiency with Power Market Sector design software (PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit) is expected.

Responsibilities

Leads overall technical direction of projects.
Scope and schedule support to the PM, including work breakdown structure development and implementation, change management, and schedule management.
Budget support to the PM for proposal development, progress assessment, and change management.
Ability to lead multiple projects concurrently, utilizing teams in different locations.
Understand and implement HDR Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements and deliver a world-class product.
Coordinate with operations leaders and PM for resource planning and management.
Mentor and supervise junior engineers or designers where applicable.
Independently coordinate the work of engineers and the balance of the team throughout the project life cycle.
