Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group in Lone Tree, CO is offering an engineering internship for Civil, Mechanical or Structural majors. You will work with experienced engineers to design, analyze, and support high-voltage transmission projects, gaining hands-on exposure to modern tools and industry practices.

This role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and documentation, with about 40 hours/week and mentorship to contribute to real designs and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Coursework or familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS, or PLS-CADD.
• Basic understanding of design codes and standards such as NESC, IEEE, ANSI, and IBC.

Responsabilités

• Assist engineers with all aspects of overhead transmission line design, including PLS-CADD modeling, line routing, and structure analysis.
• Support drafting and mapping using AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS, or similar software.
• Implement engineering redlines and ensure drawing accuracy.
• Perform basic engineering calculations, such as sag-tension analysis and pole loading checks, under supervision.
• Help prepare documentation, reports, and design packages for project deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to develop and refine engineering solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, field data collection, and technical meetings.
• Maintain organized records of design data, drawings, and project notes.
• Work approximately 40 hours per week during the internship period.
