Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS, or PLS-CADD.
• Basic understanding of design codes and standards (NESC, IEEE, ANSI, and IBC).
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with overhead transmission line design, including PLS‑CADD modeling, line routing, and structure analysis.
• Support drafting and mapping using AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS, or similar software.
• Implement engineering redlines and ensure drawing accuracy.
• Perform basic engineering calculations, such as sag‑tension analysis and pole loading checks.
• Help prepare documentation, reports, and design packages for project deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to develop and refine engineering solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, field data collection, and technical meetings.
• Maintain organized records of design data, drawings, and project notes.
• Work approximately 40 hours per week during the internship period.
