AtkinsRéalis seeks a Transmission Line Engineer for the Rochester, NY and Binghamton, NY area to lead detailed design from concept through construction for 12 kV–500 kV overhead lines and 12 kV–230 kV underground routes.

You will apply PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE/PLS-TOWER, ArcGIS, and related tools; collaborate with multiple disciplines; perform feasibility studies and cost estimates; and coordinate with regulators and field teams as required.

Formación

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• P.E. registration preferred or eligible to obtain within 1–2 years.
• 2–5 years of transmission line design experience.
• Proficient with US codes, standards and regulations for transmission line design.
• Experience with temperature upgrades and line condition assessments is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Detailed design of 12 kV to 500 kV overhead transmission lines from concept to construction.
• Underground transmission line design from 12 kV to 230 kV.
• Conduct feasibility and planning studies.
• Prepare planning and detailed project cost estimates including engineering, materials and construction.
• Prepare construction and material specifications and scope documents for tenders and contracts.
• Coordinate with disciplines and review work of others.
• Interface with permitting agencies and regulatory bodies.
• Perform field reviews during construction.
• Potential to take on a project engineer role as needed.
