Job summary

E2 Consulting Engineers, LP is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to support overhead projects from 69 kV to 500 kV. You will report to the Transmission Engineering Manager and interact with clients as responsibilities grow.

Responsibilities include detailed design, structure spotting, and plan/profile drawings; you will perform sag-tension and clearance calculations using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER, while coordinating with structural engineers and routing studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering with 3-7 years transmission line design experience.
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD required; PLS-POLE/PLS-TOWER preferred; working knowledge of NESC and utility standards.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred; experience at major utilities a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design of overhead transmission lines including structure spotting, profile development, and plan/profile drawings.
• Execute and review line design using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER, and perform sag-tension and clearance calculations.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, support routing studies, and prepare engineering packages.
