b19 Consulting is working with an established power delivery company who are looking to hire a Transmission Line Engineer that comes from an electric utility background.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years utility transmission line design experience (15kV through to 500kV)
• Bachelors’ degree in Civil Engineering with a structural knowledge also desirable
• Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for sponsorship.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with project engineers, designers and client representatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or working towards obtaining.
• Proficiency with PLS CADD, PLS POLE or PLS TOWER software
• Experience with foundation design software (MFAD, PLS CAISSON, L-PILE, RISA)
• Detailed design of new transmission line structures for new lattice towers, concrete poles, tubular steel poles, wood poles & H-frames.
• Preparation and development of overhead and underground transmission line designs up to 500kV.
• Understanding of NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI standards.
• Ability to lead a large portion or the entirety of a transmission line design project.
