Job summary
Avangrid in Rochester, NY is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer responsible for the design and support of high, medium and low-voltage transmission projects within NYSEG service territories as part of the TLD program. You will assist in developing and reviewing engineering deliverables, apply industry standards, and utilize tools like AutoCAD, PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE, and Google Earth for design and analysis.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 years of total engineering experience.
- Familiarity with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, AutoCAD and related tools.
- Experience applying industry standards (RUS, NESC) to transmission projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and support of transmission line projects across Avangrid Networks.
- Apply industry and utility standards to ensure compliance.
- Use AutoCAD, PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE and Google Earth for design and analysis.
- Support senior engineers and project managers in scoping and planning.
- Coordinate with procurement, construction and operations for project execution.
