Job summary

Entergy Mississippi is seeking a Field Coordinator - Trans to lead planning and readiness for high‑voltage transmission line and substation work. You will identify hazards, assess conditions, and ensure safe, first‑time‑right execution in alignment with engineering standards.

You will coordinate switching, isolation, outages, and tagging with the Transmission Control Center, while supporting cross‑functional teams to remove barriers and ensure timely field execution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related work experience may suffice.
• 7+ years of linework experience (distribution or transmission).
• Ability to pass the technical capability test.

Responsibilities

• Identify hazards and plan high-risk transmission work with Life Critical Rules integration.
• Validate work packages against structure standards and installation practices; QA/QC oversight.
• Prepare switching, isolation, tagging, and outage sequencing with Transmission Control Center.
• Ensure execution readiness by validating access, crane setups, conductor paths, and materials.
• Coach planners and field personnel; drive continuous improvement in planning and package quality.
