Job summary

Entergy Mississippi, LLC is seeking a Field Coordinator - Trans to lead planning and readiness for high‑voltage transmission work in Flora, MS. You will ensure safe, compliant, first‑time‑right execution, identify hazards, and collaborate with Control Center, ROW, Environmental, and Construction teams.

The role emphasizes engineering alignment, switching coordination, outage sequencing, and execution readiness, with a path to coaching field crews and improving planning quality across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent or related work experience.
• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 7+ years of Linework (Distribution or Transmission) experience.
• Ability to pass technical capability tests for eligibility.
• Meet one of: 5 years of discipline-specific or combined field experience or SVP approval.

Responsibilities

• Safety Leadership & High-Risk Transmission Work Planning - identify hazards and integrate required analyses and safe work practices.
• Technical Standards, Engineering Alignment & QA/QC Oversight - validate work packages against standards and resolve discrepancies.
• Transmission System Operations, Switching Coordination & Outage Planning - prepare switching, clearances, and outage sequencing.
• Execution Readiness, Access Validation & Resource Staging - verify access, crane/tensioning, and material readiness.
• Technical Coaching, Constructability Troubleshooting & Field Partnership - support crews and resolve planning gaps.
