Job summary

Entergy in Scott, Louisiana is seeking a Transmission Field Coordinator to lead planning and readiness for high-voltage transmission work. Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 7+ years of Substation, Relay, or Linework experience with demonstrated competency and understanding of advanced transmission work.
• Ability to pass the technical capability test is required.
• One of the following must apply to test eligibility: 5+ years of discipline-specific field experience or SVP-approved Operations Coordinator experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and readiness activities for high-voltage transmission work, ensuring safe, first-time-right execution.
• Validate work packages against standards, equipment specs, and construction methods; resolve discrepancies with Engineering/Environmental/ROW.
• Prepare switching, clearances, and outage sequencing; collaborate with Control Center to validate feasibility and restoration processes.
• Ensure execution readiness by verifying access, crane/tensioning locations, conductor paths, and logistics; coordinate with multiple teams and contractors.
• Coach planners and field personnel, anticipate challenges, and drive continuous improvement in planning and job package quality.
