Job summary

HDR is seeking a national Transmission EPC Project Engineering Lead to drive technical bid development, estimating and handoff from pursuit to execution for transmission EPC projects across multiple markets.

Primary responsibilities include leading Pursuit Champions, coordinating with specialists, and building FEED teams. Located in the U.S., travel up to 20% is expected. HDR values employee ownership and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering license required.
• PMBOK/PMP certification preferred.
• At least 10 years of transmission design experience.
• Experience building and leading EPC engineering teams.
• Proficiency with design software and office tools.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Lead Pursuit and transition projects from pursuit to execution.
• Develop scope, schedule and budget with multiple teams.
• Provide risk analysis, value engineering and VE solutions.
• Coordinate with land, geotech, environmental and GIS teams.
• Interface with contractors and subconsultants during pursuit and project.
• Mentor Project Managers and discipline practitioners.
• Develop templates, standards, and best practices for transmission EPC.
