Job summary

HDR seeks a national Transmission EPC Project Engineering Lead in our Power Delivery Practice to drive pursuits toward execution for transmission EPC projects across utility, developer, renewable, battery and data-center markets.

Based in the United States with up to 20% travel, you will lead scope, schedule and budget development, oversee FEED teams, and mentor Project Managers and engineers while delivering risk-informed engineering solutions for HDR’s AD initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Engineering or related field) required.
• 10 years of experience in transmission design or related field.
• Professional engineering registration or related credentials.
• Experience developing and managing diverse teams.
• Ability to work with regional directors, managers and marketing teams.
• Commitment to HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pursuit Champion / Manager on Transmission EPC projects and transition to execution.
• Lead scope, schedule and budget development for AD projects with cross‑discipline coordination.
• Estimate investments and perform risk analysis for leadership reviews.
• Interface with contractors and HDR subconsultants to drive risk discussions.
• Develop FEED capabilities as the program grows and mentor managers/engineers.
• Support Go/No-Go meetings, risk assessments, and proposal efforts.
• Create templates, standards and procedures to support EPC pursuits.
• Provide technical leadership and handoff timing assessments across projects.
