Job summary

Merck seeks a Translational PK/PD Associate Director to lead modeling efforts supporting drug discovery for biologics, proteins, and peptides. The role spans cross-functional teams, dataset integration, and development of mechanistic modeling platforms.

The successful candidate will design and implement PK/PD analyses, guide dose predictions, and mentor junior scientists while collaborating across PDMB and Discovery/Translational units. Hybrid work options are available in multiple US locations.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with 4+ years (Ph.D.)/6+ years (PharmD)/8+ years (Master's) in PK/PD or related field.
• Hands-on translational PK/PD modeling using standard software.
• Ability to design experiments and modeling plans in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as expert PK/PD modeler in cross-functional teams to guide decisions.
• Integrate in vitro and in vivo data to build PKPD/PBPK/QSP models for translation.
• Collaborate across PDMB to design studies and modeling plans for candidate optimization.
• Guide automated workflows for modeling platforms to inform human PK/PD and dose projections.
• Provide scientific and modeling guidance to junior colleagues.
