Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim seeks a Director of Preclinical PKPD Modeling to lead the Ridgefield team and shape strategy across global Drug Discovery Sciences. Drive innovative PKPD modeling that informs model-based decision making early in discovery.

You will lead a team of PKPD scientists, develop translational strategies, and collaborate across immunology, cardio-renal, oncology and other areas to deliver human efficacious dose predictions. This role combines science leadership with strategic impact.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent with at least 6 years in pharmacometrics or preclinical PKPD modeling.
• Master's with at least 8 years in pharmacometrics / preclinical PKPD modeling.
• Professional degree in pharmacy or medicine with at least 7 years in pharmacometrics / preclinical PKPD modeling.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in drug discovery teams.
• Proficiency in PMx/PKPD/QSP modeling with impact on decision making.
• Strong leadership, strategic and people-management skills.
• Excellent communication with publication/presentation record.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Ridgefield PKPD Modeling team aligned with global objectives.
• Lead and develop a team of up to 5 PKPD modeling scientists.
• Develop and implement innovative PKPD modeling approaches (empirical, mechanistic, QSP).
• Represent PK/PD modeling in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Drive adoption of new modeling methodologies and translate to translational strategies.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality PKPD modeling outputs and study designs.
• Present research at meetings and publish in peer-reviewed journals; ensure compliance.
