Job summary

Safe Fleet, the smart safety company, is seeking a Technical Project Manager for Transit Systems in New York City. You will spearhead the technical delivery workstream, coordinate engineering, product management, supply chain, and field services, and ensure timely, compliant configurations and documentation for fleet safety projects.

The role requires deep experience in vehicle systems, engineering change control, and strong communication skills to partner with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
• Five or more years of experience leading technical delivery in vehicle systems or similar.
• Experience with technical drawings, BOMs, configuration management, and engineering change control.
• Strong writing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical workstream planning and control, aligning with project schedule and milestones.
• Coordinate mechanical engineering and technical writing activities across teams.
• Ensure installation methods, BOMs, and configuration meet contractual and customer requirements.
• Translate field feedback into repeatable installation instructions and maintain change control.
• Serve as Safe Fleet's technical project contact during reviews, readiness meetings, and customer activities.
