Job summary

The Technical Project Manager for Transit Technology will deploy and implement technology solutions administered by the MBTA’s Transit Technology division or other teams across the Transformation & Technology Department.

The Transit Technology team is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining dispatching systems and other technology tools that enable MBTA Operations division to deliver safer, more efficient, and more reliable transit services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Information Science, Project Management, Software Engineering, Civil Engineering, Planning, or related field.
• 5+ years coordinating technical operations projects, including vendor management and translating needs into technical specs.
• 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Experience with agile software development lifecycle and change management.

Responsibilities

• Implement Technology Solutions across MBTA divisions and teams.
• Develop project plans with scope, budget, timeline, and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage vendor engagements.
• Produce user documentation and training materials for applications.
