Job summary

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) is seeking a Technical Project Manager for Transit Technology to deploy technology solutions across the Transformation & Technology Department. You will coordinate with software engineers, product managers, UX staff, and operations teams to translate transit needs into technical requirements and drive deployments across the MBTA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (CS/IS/PM/SE/Civil/Planning).
• 5 years of experience managing, implementing, or supporting technical operations processes with vendor management.
• 1 year of managerial, supervisory, and/or leadership experience.
• Experience with agile development practices and change management.

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid-response IT support during emergencies and implement technology solutions across operations.
• Define user requirements and develop technical specifications for system modification and integration.
• Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, budget, timeline, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with MBTA procurement on complex vendor system procurements and manage vendor relationships.
• Prepare and maintain program documentation and train users on applications.
