Job summary

Eagle County Government is seeking a Transit Service Writer to bridge Fleet Services and Core Transit for vehicle maintenance and repair scheduling. You will manage work orders, coordinate with transit teams, and communicate effectively with customers throughout the repair process.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years in automotive repair facility or service advisor role.
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
Strong computer skills and experience managing digital work orders and records.

Responsibilities

Core Transit Liaison between Fleet Services and Core Transit regarding vehicle maintenance, repair scheduling, and priorities.
Use FASTER to schedule service appointments, create work orders, track progress, and process charges/payments.
Convey repair scopes, costs, and parts requirements to the Transit Supervisor.
Address customer questions, coordinate additional work and costs, and manage grievances.
Perform occasional light repairs or initial diagnostics while following safety procedures.
