Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) in Columbus, OH. You will serve and safeguard clients in transit locations, monitor facilities, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while providing exceptional customer service to passengers, staff, and contractors.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, documenting observations with clear reports, and supporting access control activities.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures and following emergency response plans.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters.
• Respond to incidents and service disruptions calmly and report observations with clear documentation.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, documenting incidents and interactions in reports.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by giving directions and reporting suspicious activity.
