Job summary

Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County, through WeGo Public Transit, is seeking a Scheduling and Service Planning Coordinator in Nashville, TN. The role supports service planning, develops and validates schedules, and ensures accurate driver run guides and service information for operators and customers.

The position requires three years in transit operations or related planning, a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent, and proficiency with Trapeze scheduling software.

Qualifications

• Three years' experience in transit operations, planning, or scheduling/logistics with evidence of progressive responsibility preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in public administration, urban planning, operations management, transportation or related field (or equivalent).
• Proficiency in Trapeze scheduling software and related scheduling/data systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to recommend routing and scheduling changes.
• Assist with schedule development and validate data for route, schedules, and bus stops.
• Produce and ensure accuracy of driver run guides, postings, and headways.
• Prepare materials for biannual operator bids and annual vacation bids.
• Coordinate with Operations on implementation and monitoring of services.
• Maintain communication with internal departments on schedule adjustments and requirements.
• Supervise and train part-time data collection staff or contractors.
